Not a very helpful blanket statement for a headline. This editorial implies that a Facebook page for a Restaurant need be a significant investment that should carefully considered. The fact is that whatever your patron demographics some are amongst the millions on Facebook. And, more importantly, a Facebook presence is certainly the most accessible and easy to set-up online presence for the independant operator. I strongly disagree with the statement that having multiple presences (shotgun approach) dilutes impact - the web is a very big place, and an extended footprint is helpful. A centralized destination with key info menus, features, etc. is important but the using the greater presence to drive traffic is a solid strategy.
